ELLIOT NESS AND THE STONE OF DUSTBINPAN
Suddenly it’s all over! Months of rehearsals and preparations and then three performances and that’s it!
It was well worth the effort. Judging by the laughter in the audience, it was another Jim Barber success. Some people said they laughed so much they ached! It’s no wonder these plays are sold out as soon as the tickets go on sale.
Only Jim could produce a pantomime based on Elliott Ness and Al Capone! What fun! Elliott’s mother was the Dame and his two side kicks looked suspiciously like the Blues Brothers (or should I say sisters?).
The photo shows the evil Al Capone with his two gangster pals, Babyface and Knuckles (alias Norman, Gary and Bill, from left to right).
One member of the audience could only laugh as she explained to her mother which member of the cast was the vicar, which one was chairman of the parish council and which one used to be a policeman!
Everyone was feeling a bit rusty after two years, but it all came back to them! Let’s hope Jim will find the time to produce another great play for next year.
WELL DONE JIM BARBER AND EVERYONE INVOLVED!
